In the beginning, Gufram’s products were conceived by the reciprocity between young designers, artists and the company itself: armchairs, sofas and furnishings were created and they represent a significant heritage for the brand.

   The key function of this project is that it will serve as one of the main performances of the human being: socialize. We are promoting socializing through human gestures: hugging. Besides being comfortable furniture pieces, it will also provide joy, happiness and many more human sensations.

   The proposed design solution is called “Goofy’s Family”. It is a new set of furniture that includes 1 long sofa, 1 short sofa, 1 ottoman and 2 cushions that will have the function of hugging arms. This furniture collection has the possibility of mix and match colours and positions, depending on the user’s preference.

   This furniture set has also a button system; all of the pieces will have 2 buttons so you can place either arms, or just one, on any of the family item.

   The main purpose of the Goofy’s Family is that you can place together two pieces and set one of the pieces arm around the other one, so it will look like you are “hugging” the other one, like a human gesture.
